ParaJVD alpha version !

Just a short update to let you know that the very first alpha version of ParaJVD (embedding the ParaJVE 0.7.0.beta4 engine) has finally been packaged, and is now available for homebrewers (but it is not public yet, sorry).

I have already sent it to several active vectrex homebrew developers.

Of course, this alpha will also be made available to any established vectrex developer ; just send me a request if you're one of them and I forgot to contact you yet.

  • Hi Parabellum,

Just bought my first real Vectrex and am going to start some development - my background is 30-years of Z80 assembler programming so learning 6809 will be fun! However, a debugger will be useful for the learning process, so I'm wondering if your debugging version of JVE is going to be available any time soon?

    Best regards,
    Chris.

  • Hello Parabellum,

I bought a Vectrex system and a VecMulti cartridge about 3 years ago. I intended to start developing some project on it when I had the time to do so. I’m very familiar with the 6502 and 68000 processors from my C64 and Amiga days.

I’m writing you now because, well, I have spare time nowadays. :) I knew about your fabulous ParaJVD years ago, but I didn’t want to bother you for it, only to just sit on a drive somewhere unused while I’m too busy to work with it.

Learning 6809 while coding some (what I hope to be) cool project on the Vectrex would be an awesome experience with your tool. Is it still available?

    Regards,
    Jerald

  • Hi Parabellum,

It's your ParaJVD still available? It'd be really useful for debugging my 6809/Forth Vectrex code that I've written.

    Fingers crossed...

    Regards,
    Phil
